Let me tell your wedding day story.
My goal as your videographer on your wedding day is to capture the two of you being your most authentic selves and make you feel as comfortable as possible in front of the camera. While editing your full film, I try to bring together all of the happy, fun, tear-filled, exciting, and heart-warming moments so that your finished film will equally make you laugh, make you smile, make you cry, and most importantly, make you feel like you just re-lived the best day of your lives all over again.

I don’t believe in offering you any less coverage than I think your day needs to be captured in full. Truly, there is nothing worse than getting excited about a vendor, thinking they’ll fit into your budget, and then realizing that their starting price only covers four hours of your day. WHO THE HECK ONLY NEEDS FOUR HOURS? Just kidding, but really!!! I want to be there for getting ready through your last big moment, which is why my starting price includes 10 hours of coverage.

Let me give you more than just six minutes of memories from your big day.
While the highlight video is fun and great and awesome, it is only (roughly) six to eight minutes of the 10 hours I spend with you on your big day. My customizable wedding videography package provides you with full versions of all of your big moments from the day distributed through a digital album for you to download and keep forever.
Moments I typically include in full in your digital album are your first looks, reception entrances, cake cut, toasts/speeches, and first dances.
“Ugh, is that extra?” I’m so glad you asked. Nope, it is all included already in the package price! You shouldn’t have to choose if your memories are worth a few extra dollars.

Do you have a second shooter?
90% of the time, maybe even 95% of the time, it is just me! If I decide as your day approaches that I feel like I need someone to assist me, I will have someone come help me at no cost to you.

Do you provide raw footage?
Nope!
How do you pick the music for our video?
One of the most time consuming pieces of your wedding film edit is picking music that perfectly fits the two of you and your day - I spend hours and hours looking for songs that match your vibe. Most, if not all, of the music that I use is from a music licensing platform called Music Bed or, occasionally, Song Freedom. Unfortunately, most mainstream songs are not available on licensing platforms, but that’s okay! Do you really want a song that will feel overplayed after a couple months to be featured in your film forever? The answer is heck no! I like to think I have good taste when it comes to music, so I promise your song choice is in good hands!
What does your payment plan look like?
I require a signed contract and a $1,000 deposit to book your date. From there, another $1,000 payment is due eight months out from the wedding, another $500 payment four months out, and then the remaining payment is due in full one month before your event. I am always happy to work with you to put together a monthly or customized payment plan that works better for the two of you!
How do you capture our audio throughout the day?
I have two LAV mics and SONY mic attachment that all help me get audio from your first looks, ceremony, speeches, etc. My backup’s backup has a backup!
When is the best time to book you for our big day?
Right away! I typically book 3-5 weddings in the first week that I open my books for the next wedding season, and I only take about 15 weddings each year, so dates are already limited right off the bat. Your venue, photographer, and videographer should be your first three things you book. For reference, June, September, and October usually book up over 1.5 years in advance. Crazy, right?!
How do you protect my wedding day footage?
In addition to filming to two different SD card slots in my main camera body, I also try to back footage up throughout the day when there is time, otherwise I begin backing up the footage immediately when I get home from filming your day. Your footage gets backed up to two external hard drives and I do not reformat your SD card until I’ve delivered your full film. In short, I keep three copies of all your wedding day content.
What happens if you get sick and can’t film our day?
It has not happened yet, and I am praying that it never does! I do have a circle of other videographers who I have ready to go on speed dial if a last-minute issue were to come up. They would film it and I would still edit it. If it were to be worst-case scenario and no one could fill in, you would be refunded in full.
Will our video include drone footage?
As long as the weather permits, every video includes drone footage. I am typically able to use the drone more for summer and early fall weddings when the weather is nicer and it is light out longer.
How long will it take to receive my finished wedding film?
It depends on the time of year and how many weddings I am filming during the editing of your film. It typically takes anywhere from 2-5 months, with the average being 4. March-June is usually a faster turnaround time than the rest of the year due to having more weddings to film and less time to edit during those other months. I also work another full-time job, so you can imagine how busy my busy season is!
Do you travel?
Absolutely! Even though I am based in Iowa, I will come wherever you are to capture the two of you and your love story!

Travel for 2024 is included within 100 miles, and then .60 cents/mile after that.
How do you work with the photographer to make sure our day goes smoothly?
By the end of the day, I usually feel like I’m best friends with your photographer! I do my best to work alongside them to capture all of the moments in a way that is not distracting throughout your day or impactful to the timeline they’ve helped you create.
